Our ColorFull World
At an early age, Natali Derry found her passion – art. Her neighbor was a painter and artist. Natali became simply fascinated by all the colors he used and what they could create on a canvas through the story-telling of a paintbrush. She quickly realized how to create a joyful, vibrant world within herself while painting. However, it was not until she shared her work with her parents did she notice what color could do for those around her. Natali describes herself as always having a colorful personality and she recalls that it would always be expressed in her paintings – Full of Color.
The look on her parents’ faces upon seeing her first painting further demonstrated what she was already experiencing deep within. Just how vibrant the people around her and the environment could be was simply influenced by adding some color. She began witnessing her parents move from moments of boredom and frustration to laughter and involvement simply by walking into the room where Natali’s colorful paintings were decorating the walls of their home. Or, when Natali presented the family with a new painting she had finished.
As Natali grew older, her perspective on the ambiance of the environment around her was strongly influenced by the vibrant and colorful coastal Colombian culture of Cartagena. Her community at large was living within very modest means yet everyone was energetic, and vibrantly enjoying their lives. The unique combination of colorful handmade artisan arts and crafts poured creativity into every street corner and living room, leaving the culture and the people dripping with joy and happiness.
It’s this same joy and happiness in people’s smiling faces that has pushed Natali to seek means that can be used to influence the environment around her. Remembering her culture and her roots as the foundation of her vibrant and colorful life, she left home with wanderlust. Natali found herself travelling to far corners of the globe looking to realize her childhood dreams of experiencing distant places, ancient cities and other worldly cultures.
During her travels, she encountered some of the oldest existing cultures of Asia, Southeast Asia and South America. Throughout all of this, one thing remained a constant – the existence of a wide array of color seemed to wrap itself within and around all of the vibrant cultures she was experiencing. Her keen eyes observed how exuberant and vibrant these cultures were, thereby reminding her of childhood. Color, with its mood-enhancing, thought-provoking and vibe-altering features, has the ability to create an uplifting effect to all of those that it touches.
Natali sees the world through the eyes of an artist, and knows how much of a challenge material life can be for one. The wide range of artistry and artesenal craftwork that exists across this world is truly inspiring. The uniqueness of each trade and the time-honored processes that have continued are a blessing to those who are willing to see. Natali perceives the value these handmade artesenal crafts carry with them and the value they bring to those who make them. She aspires to bring these handmade products in batches of colors to invigorate your life and your surrounding environment, while also supporting the lives of the artesans.

ColorFull seeks to provide exclusive, handmade artisan products that can transform the world around through the use of color and attention to detail.
